Description: Linux Support Analyst (Level 1)

  • Full-Time Employment
  • Field support requests by Telephone, E-Mail, and Ticketing System
  • Work within a project management system
  • Work within a Linux Operating System environment
  • Provide technical support remotely
  • Work with cPanel/WHM
  • Support Linux Shared, Virtual Private (VPS), and Dedicated Servers
  • Participate as a team member to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve difficult issues
  • Participate on and lead projects, assignments, and provides status reports
  • Images servers, optimizes server configurations, and performs software installations
  • Investigate Abuse and Security violations
  • Identifies and escalates issues as appropriate

Job requirements

  • Fluent in English (Strong verbal and written communications)
  • Positive personality
  • Ambitious, and eager to learn
  • 1 year experience in customer support/service
  • Experience as System Administrator, or End User of a Linux Operating System
  • Understanding and experience of Linux Command Line
  • General Understanding of Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, E-Mail)
  • Demonstrates independent thinking and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
  • Self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast paced environment
